Ita’s screenplays have been recognized in a variety of national and international screenwriting competitions including: MocDocs, The Nicholl Fellowship, The San Diego Screenwriting Contest, The American Gem Screenwriting Competition, and the CBC Signature Short Film Contest. Her sketch comedy pilot Off-Centre TV was broadcast in March of 2005 and her film Sarah’s Room was screened at both NSI and the VIFF 2004.
In addition to graduating from the VFS Writing program, Ita also has a Masters in Applied Behavioural Sciences and a B.A. in Communication Arts - both of which inform her work with the Vancouver Theatre Sports League and as a teambuilding and creativity trainer.
