Program Requirements

All applicants are required to submit a maximum 500 word letter of intent. Successful applicants will be chosen based on their expression of passion, talent (whether it be proven or potential), and commitment. Be encouraged to communicate what you feel best conveys your background, your potential, and why you have a profound desire to attend VFS.

- AND -

A portfolio that consists of sketches and/or photographs that best illustrate your artistic vision in makeup design (maximum 12 pieces). This can be in the form of a CD, DVD, colour photocopies, sketches, or photographs. Please note that all submissions cannot be returned.

Guidelines for letter of intent

The VFS Makeup Design Program for Film & Television has only 18 seats available for each start date. Successful applicants will be chosen based on their passion, talent (whether it be proven or potential), and drive. Competition to get into the program will be fierce and world-wide.

All applicants are required to submit a maximum 500 word letter of intent on why they feel they should be chosen for one of the 18 seats. We suggest that you make your submission in whatever format you feel best conveys your background, your talent, and why you have a profound desire to attend VFS.
