| Q. |
What are the financial benefits of the one-year program model at VFS? |
| A. |
Surprisingly few students consider their own time as having financial value. But the longer you spend in school the more it costs you, not only in tuition but also living expenses and lost wages. That’s why VFS has dedicated itself to creating one-year programs that achieve or surpass the outcomes of much longer programs. To properly evaluate the savings, compare the total cost of one year at VFS to the price of four years or more at other schools. Combined with all the services, facilities, and faculty that VFS alone provides, the financial benefits of our educational model become abundantly clear. |

| Q. |
How does VFS deliver an education in one year or less that has consistently demonstrated it can produce graduates capable of such stunning results? |
| A. |
VFS has developed an entirely unique education curriculum. Our campus is your studio, your creativity is the lesson plan, and our facilities and faculty are here to assist the development of your projects through production to distribution. The school generates over 900 finished productions each year in everything you see, hear, and experience in the entertainment industry – more than any other school in the world. And to date, no school has been able to reliably compete with the high quality and inspiring quantity of our students’ in house productions.

| Q. |
Once I have made a demo reel at VFS, can I expect the school to continue to help promote my work? |
| A. |
Definitely. Submitting films to festivals is an important part of getting started in the industry and VFS fully supports this process by selecting student films to submit to relevant festivals around the world. Our students are not required to pay for submission costs, shipping, or any other cost involved. |
| Q. |
Does VFS have the kind of global reputation that attracts a large percentage of International students? |
| A. |
The best confirmation that the educational model supported by VFS applies to a global entertainment industry is that 50% of our students come from outside Canada. International students attend VFS for the opportunities you can’t find anywhere else, like the chance to work creatively with other students across disciplines to complete original work, developing the collaborative strategies that form the groundwork for a worldwide network of professional contacts in the years after you graduate.

| Q. |
What are the benefits to offering start dates year-round? |
| A. |
With rolling start dates, you have more control of when to start your education, and at the same time VFS is capable of reacting quickly to changes in the industry with ongoing adjustments in curriculum. Unlike at schools with only one graduation date per year, the bonus to our students is that employers aren’t inundated by a flood of VFS graduates all in the same season.

| Q. |
To ensure that the facilities and curriculum are appropriate to career paths, and measure up to current professional standards, how does VFS maintain an active connection to the entertainment industry? |
| A. |
LucasArts, Pixar, Electronic Arts, Dreamworks SKG, Blast Radius and many more of the world's leading entertainment companies have representatives on our program Advisory Boards. By providing truly invaluable input, our Advisory Boards help ensure that curriculum stays relevant to the requirements of the industry. There are also the added benefits to students of major industry guest speakers visiting the school regularly, and that companies on our Advisory Board are known to cherry-pick from our many talented grads. |
| Q. |
